Jess' routine at our event at West Park, one obstacle, the sack tunnel, she had only tried once before so to do it as fast she did was brilliant! Jess goes into schools and helps Pet Respect to promote Responsibillity towards Pets, She is 3 years old and loves Agility, Flyball but most of all she loves having fun! After the display is seen the camera rolls around the main arena and all of the charities and stall holders are seen. Many thanks to all involved!

Four weeks post-op, let's check in with our beloved Allie the Mountain Dog to see her progress. She is a proven and fearless adventurer in the Nutnfancy Project and we long to see her return to that activity level. But her ACL knee surgery recuperation must be taken slowly. Despite our best efforts she's done some running and jumping and we hope she hasn't nullified the surgery. We think some progress has been made. a meeting of the Eastern States Hedgehog Association. Hedgehogs come to Schoharie County. Owners, devotees and rescue organizations will be gathering in Schoharie, NY to show off their best hedgehogs. Judging is based on conformation and personality. These delightful and unique creatures display much personality. Hedgehog "games" will also be part of the competition. Internationally known hedgehog expert, Nigel Reeve from the UK, will give a lecture on wild hedgehogs and rescue operations.

He was started in the kitchen at 7 weeks lining to targets, retrieving, casting and working obedience. He is a little loose on obedience in this clip but he clearly understands and expects to line deep of the mark for his blinds. A very advanced concept for a five month old puppy. This was done cold.

The seal pups have weened and are now living away from their parents and in groups around the Island. The Gentoo chicks are starting to walk and soon will be surviving on their own too. Even though the seals are through the initial survival stage, they still get picked on by the adults....

Brutus, a Saint Bernard, had surgery for a cervical disc problem that was treated surgically. We anticipate that he will fully recover, but at over 125 lbs, a dog wheelchair has given him renewed mobility while he regains control and strength especially in his hind limbs. Interestingly, this is the first time we've personally seen a dog lift his leg in a dog wheelchair. However, most dogs are able to urinate and defecate in a dog cart. IDidaRace event held in Park city on 2-21-09, A sled dog and SkiJor "race" to raise awareness of homless dogs in Utah. A fun event, and a good time was had by all! Skijour isn't as easy as it looks!

Most weekends, somewhere around the world, sighthounds of all types are competing in one of the most popular of canine sports, racing. It is unfortunate that most people are only familiar with Greyhound tracks because if they could see the other end of the spectrum, the amateurs meeting in fields participating in one of the oldest rituals of human culture... "my dog's faster than yours", they would start to understand the great joy these hounds experience by chasing after prey. You will find many different breeds and sizes from Italian Greyhounds to Irish Wolfhounds running in these competitions. LGRA or the Large Gazehound Racing Association and NOTRA the National Oval Track Racing Association offers the owners of these unique sighthounds the opportunity to allow their hounds to do just exactly what they were bred to do... chase game... though our current competitions use a lure on a mechanical pulley to entice the hounds to run rather than the live game of yesteryear. After several weeks of patience since rehoming him, we have finally managed to get our adopted Greyhound Brandy (Previously named Forrest when at Tia Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue) to dispell the myth that Greyhounds do not play! Admittedly we have endured many hours of him laid looking at us as if we were from another planet as we sat with him whilst waving, squeeking and generally looking foolish whilst playing with his toys ourselves! It is wonderful to see him enjoying himself and playing with his new toys. Note that we have resisted the temptation to buy him toys that are cute, furry or have legs!
