More here: www.lovetheraces.com I meet retired Racing greyhound 'AP' or 'Tony' McCoy - named after the great man himself of course - and ask him how his day has been! AP is very talkative and loves a day out at the Point to Point and has become a bit of a celeb on the local Welsh courses - he does really try to talk to people! Retired Racing greyhounds make great pets; and Point to Points allow dogs on a lead - which makes it a great day out horse and hound lovers alike! Reminds me of that old joke. There are two racehorses in the pub after the races chatting over a Pint of Guinness. One horse says to the other 'How was your day?" The other replies 'Funny you should ask - strange actually; I was in the 3.25 at Sandown and just coming to the Pond Fence, race at my mercy and suddenly there was this blinding flash of light and I was arse over tit. How was your day?' The first horse raises an eyebrow and says: 'Strange - exactly the same thing happened to me. And that was on the flat. There I was drawing clear with a furlong to go at Doncaster in the 4.20 and a blinding flash of light and I stumbled; and by the time I knew what happened I was tailed off. Totally weird ; nothing like that ever happened before...' All the time this Greyhound is listening at the Bar drinking a shandy. It's deer season so the dogs have to wear their Doggiduds safety vests whenever we wander out into the woods. Don't they look sharp? And cute, of course!

Dog Park Retriever Training (and playing also!)

www.sitmeanssit.com The dog park can be a great place to train your dog. It is also a place where they can play. There are many distractions in the dog park that you cannot control. This makes it much different than training your dog around an obedience class where the other dogs are controlled. There can be some problem dogs and a dog park, so I always make sure that I survey the situation before I go into it. This has helped me to log thousands of training hours in a dog park and having virtually no problems. Nothing is completely foolproof, but I have found this program to be successful for me. Teaching my dog to run through the hoop with all this distraction around has really helped him to close a lot of it off and to focus better. As you will see at the end of this video, the other dogs just love to play with my dog also! Thanks for watching!
